Albert Einstein once said…“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales!” 

The castle, the fairy, the dragon and the prince created by our 3D-printer sparked our 1^st graders’ imagination and transferred them to a magic fairytale land where they revised the names of different colours while getting acquainted with words that are key to reading a fairy tale in English! Our lesson was taught using iPads and our children navigated a magic world and practised vocabulary in a truly enjoyable way: by naming English colours while colouring pictures of castles, fairies and dragons on the Colour Drops iPad app and then practising spelling and writing a set of essential fairytale words on the Doodle Buddy iPad app.

The magic trip was completed by watching our 3D-printed fairy, dragon and prince perform a little story to the sound of a melodic Celtic fairy song…We look forward to our next magic vocabulary revision day!
