A couple of weeks ago our CLIL students got to know their five senses in a fun, experiential way. They were given a short presentation of my favourite sight, sound, smell and so on, which sparked a lively discussion all about their favourites of each sense. The following week, they prepared and gave their own presentations in class which included anything from photographs of their pets (sight), posters of bands or singers (hearing) and stuffed animals (touch) to drawings of food (taste) and their mum’s perfume (smell). With a tiny bit of help, some students even went on to create collage presentations which we viewed on the interactive whiteboard. We love it when the little ones feel that they can share facts about themselves and get up close and personal with us!
