Our third-grade students of secondary school had the chance to interact with the psychologist, Ms. Giannaki, through the platform of 100mentors our school uses. They were given the opportunity to learn more about the psychological changes that occur in adolescence.
Our mentor talked about stress feelings teenagers face as well as the abilities and skills required to face these feelings. Adolescents need to be self-confident, be aware of their abilities and skills and clearly define their long and short term goals in life. Ms Giannaki also explained the physical and psychological changes that occur in adolescence as well as the peer pressure teenagers face.
The psychologist stressed the importance for teenagers to establish good health habits that will follow throughout their life. Our mentor ended the conversation with the quote; 'If you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else.’ Urging through this our teenagers to find out where they are heading.
