Our candidates preparing for Preliminary English Test (PET) and First Certificate in English (FCE), which are two of the Cambridge English exams, had the opportunity to attend some useful workshops conducted by an experienced and highly qualified British Council advisor.
Their aim is to provide candidates with practical advice to help build up their confidence on the day of the exam as well as tips on how to deal with a variety of tasks in the Writing, Reading, Listening, Use of English and Speaking papers. They were urged to employ effective strategies such as skimming and scanning texts, recognising paraphrase (Reading), identifying and addressing key content points appropriately (Writing), and responding with extended and relevant contributions (Speaking).
By attending the seminars our students were given the chance to improve their exam performance. Good luck everyone!
