One of our many goals in the first grade is to familiarize our younger students with technology and make them realize that there is more to the iPad than games and funny videos. Through the application Explain Everything, our first graders used the iPad camera to take pictures of items around the classroom that began with a certain letter. Then, they imported the images and created a screencast about the beginning sound of each object's name. As a final step, they presented their videos to their classmates and got a big round of applause!
