What's the first thing that pops into your head when you hear the word "Google"? Search engine, a window to endless information, questions answered... That was what most of our middle school pupils said, since none of them had ever heard that Google has been voted as the best place to work for the last six years. That was enough information to make them google Google and what they came across was loads of extremely impressive photos of the Google headquarters in California, as well as some amazing perks it offers its employees. Taking our research one step further, we used the innovative platform "100 mentors" to get in touch with an actual Google employee, Dionysis Kolokotsas, a Public Policy manager. He not only explained why Google is such an amazing workplace, but also offered our students some insight into his job and what it is exactly that such major companies look for in an employee.
