"Lord of the Flies" is a 1954 novel written by Nobel Prize-winning English author, William Golding. The book is about a group of British boys stuck on an uninhabited island who try not only to survive but also to govern themselves with disastrous results.
"Lord of the Flies" is read and analyzed by the students who participate in the Literarure Club of our secondary school. The children enjoy reading the book mainly outdoors, in our school's garden. Sitting on the grass we read and try to figure out the deeper ideas and connotations of the story.
The boys in the book use a shell, called a "conch" to get the floor. For this reason a 3D shell was also printed in our school's 3D printer. The students use it in order to talk and express their point of view.
