Ghosts are supposed to appear and frighten people during Halloween celebrations. Ghosts also appeared at Palladio School but this time no one was scared. All the students really had fun and enjoyed watching them "fly".
The "ghosts" were balloons which were created to look like ghosts in our school's lab. We performed a STEM experiment with our young students using vinegar and baking soda. These two simple household ingredients create carbon dioxide when mixed and this inflated the balloons which were used in our experiment in order to make them "ghosts" which fly. The children were excited by this science experiment and are looking forward to many more STEM activities which are going to come!
