Always seeking new challenges for our pupils' inquiring minds, we systematically encourage content learning through cross-curricular projects.
Following the principles of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), we organised a geography lesson in English for our 6th graders. They were given a task where they had to match different types of landforms with their definitions and identify the most famous peninsulas. They also spotted Cape Horn and the Panama Canal and found out how ships got from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean after 1914. The aim was for our pupils to expand their vocabulary by learning various geographical terms.
That was only the first of many more intriguing lessons coming their way!
